So what have I been up to?
I’ve been busy crafting a Legendary weapon in Guild Wars 2: The sword, Bolt!
Joining the Legendary Club is pretty much the biggest achievement of my Guild Wars 2 career. Legendary weapons have the same stats as Ascended weapons, but have the unique ability to change their stat sets at will. Crafting one is a lengthy journey that requires lots of time and lots of gold. Owning one is a status symbol thing.
I didn’t pray hard enough to RNGesus to give me a precursor drop, so I made my own luck.
$$$$$$$ daaayyuuumm $$$$$$$
The hardest part was buying the precursor, Zap. Hours and hours of Silverwastes chest farming and dungeon running.
I’d already done map completion back when the game came out. Back then I meticulously completed each map before moving onto the next because I knew I wanted to have 100% completion at some point, so might as well do it the first time so I didn’t have to come back later.
I’m thinking I probably won’t do another Legendary unless I get a random precursor drop, because the other Legendaries don’t really look cool to me.
But hey, do you think my Elementalist needs a Legendary too? I hope Heart of Thorns gives us some cool looking Legendary weapons and not just armour. I don’t really like the shooting rainbows thing that Bifrost has going on…
If you’re here, then you probably know that the core game of Guild Wars 2 is now Free To Play (with restrictions, of course). If you’re one of the many new players coming into the game for the first time, F2P or no, then welcome! You might have a few questions, or a lot of questions, and you might also prefer text guides over videos (like me). So while this is coming sort of late, I’m making a short series of new players guides that will hopefully help you in your first forays into Tyria.
In recent news, ArenaNet announced the first expansion to Guild Wars 2. (Finally)
A new class and another dragon to kill. I’ve begun playing GW2 again, returning after some significant updates to the game, including the Megaserver patch. Contrary to what people might think, Guild Wars 2 is far from dead.
Project M Version 3.5 is finally out, and it’s a huge update that includes balance changes, a ton of new costumes, and several new features you didn’t know you wanted.
With all these new changes, a lot of ProjectBEST’s components and mods probably won’t work properly. So, ProjectBEST for 3.5 will be put on hold until people/I start to figure things out. I’m not really a mod creator myself, you see, though I’ve made BRSTMs cuz that’s pretty straightforward.
Character skins will probably work, music will work, but stage skins might need some fixing up to be compatible. Melee SFX will most likely be broken.
Also, the stage select screen is completely changed and it looks sweet.

This summer my family went to Maui, Hawaii. It’s nice and warm there, and the beaches are great, but the food was also a highlight!
(Praise the sun)
I’ve released a mini update for the bestest custom Project M pack. Here’s the notes:
– Arena Ferox over Castle Siege
– Moonlit Blue skin for Final Destination
– Balanced Pokemon Stadium replaced with Pokemon Stadium 1 Redux (with Ground v2 and Electric transformations)
– Project M Boxing Ring updates the Boxing Ring stage
– Expressive Kirby! (Facial expressions for Kirby)
– Newer Sakuya skin for Sheik.
– New Bravely Default songs for Pokemon Stadium 2, Final Destination; PokeRap moved to Pokemon Stadium 1
– Id ~ Purpose from Fire Emblem Awakening for Arena Ferox
– Made a “Wifi-Safe” set, as requested. (Not actually Wifi Safe, but allows for saving of replays.)
– Made several images more pretty, both in-game and on the ProjectBEST page.
– Rearranged the Stage Select Screen a bit:
I did this partly because of the unofficial Summer Map Pack that was put out. I agree that Green Hill Zone is a better starter than Yoshi’s Story anyway. Also, Skyworld is not too popular compared with the other stages, so it got switched with Distant Planet (Castle Courtyard), which sees play in Doubles. Lastly, everyone hates (I hate) Skyloft, so it got moved to Page 2.
