This summer my family went to Maui, Hawaii. It’s nice and warm there, and the beaches are great, but the food was also a highlight!
I’m back! I don’t have any cool new Skyrim screenshots, nor do I have a song stuck in my head, but I’m back.
i luurv noodlz!
Today I had ramen for lunch. Yum
The pork was awesome; it was incredibly soft and melted in my mouth. I believe the pink stuff is gari (ginger), and I don’t really like the taste it gave the broth. I had their miso ramen the last time I went to Menya and I think I prefer that to this.
Missing: A picture of wonton noodles.
In other words, it’s my birthday and I’m 20 this year.
I went to an all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant with a couple of friends the other day. I ate a shitton of slightly-below-average to mediocre Japanese-ish food. Like, holy crap I ate a lot. I felt so, so fat the whole rest of the night.
I didn’t take pictures of any other dishes but the shrimp gyoza LOL
Do you see why I just had to take a photo? Well, that’s one way to do it…
(It wasn’t very good. In fact, it was pretty awful.)
Well, we went back to Sushi Elephant for dinner tonight. (I’m thinking we’re going to end up being regulars here, at this rate)
I ordered Ebi Mayo, which is deep fried shrimp with a mayonnaise sauce, and the “Flaming Dragon Roll”, which had real crab, smoked salmon, and cucumber, with unagi on top.
And it was on fire. (Not actually on fire, but there was fire on my plate, see below)
It was ok, but it was kinda pricey ($15) and IMO the unagi and its sauce sort of overpowered the crab and salmon.
When I finally get to use my gift voucher thing for this other sushi place, we’re going all-out. Mark my words. @_________________@
Last night I went with a bunch of friends to see the new GI Joe movie. I thought it was decent for an action movie.
Afterwards we went to Sushi Elephant (yeah, you’re reading that right) for a bite to eat. AL and I weren’t that hungry (or so we thought), so we agreed to let me order some appetizers to share between us. Pictures ahead!
